The MSDZ in a round of talks with Belarus on future investments

The Vice President of the House of Representatives Valery Mitskevich, together with the Ambassador of Cuba in Belarus, Juan Valdés Figueroa, met this week with a delegation from the Mariel Special Development Zone (MSDZ) headed by its general director Ana Teresa Igarza Martínez , deputy to the National Assembly of the Republic of Cuba. Also present was Serguei Klishevich, president of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba and other deputies members of said group.

After delving into the potential of the ZEDM for future Belarusian investments in Cuba, Valery Mitskevich stated: “I made an official visit to Cuba. We met with the leadership of the parliament, the government, including the Mariel Special Development Zone. Today, your CEO has visited us and I can say that we have very good political contacts and parliamentary contacts are developing steadily. Of course, the basis of everything is the economy. And we must increase economic ties, mutual deliveries of products, increase production. We are talking about it today".
